Lynne Frederickson sings jazz with warmth, curiosity, and a deep love of storytelling. Her repertoire wanders from early jazz and swing to bebop and bossa nova, mixing familiar favorites with hidden gems and unexpected turns. Inspired by composers like Porter, Gershwin, Ellington, Mercer, and Jobim—and by the intimate artistry of singers such as Shirley Horn and Blossom Dearie—Lynne brings a relaxed, conversational style to every performance. With an ear for lyrical subtlety and emotional honesty, Lynne approaches each song as a small piece of theater—finding fresh meaning in familiar material while inviting audiences into the world of the music.
