The Rick Burgess Legacy Trio, lead by drummer Robert Warren, honors the late pianist and the indelible mark he has left on the Ann Arbor jazz community. Opening The Earle in 1977, which has hosted jazz luminaries McCoy Tyner, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Stitt and many others, Rick Burgess was one of the key jazz supporters in the Ann Arbor area.
